In 2017, I completed a portrait project documenting EU citizens living and working in London in the aftermath of the Brexit referendum. The photos and interviews were exhibited at Oxford House gallery. I was overjoyed to have a five-page feature of my photos published in the March issue of Land Rover Monthly magazine. I was also lucky enough to take on an assignment in Mongolia for adventure travel specialists Goyo Travel. Other clients include ITV, The Metro newspaper, Kobalt Music, Open Fundraising, and Deutsche Börse Group.
I’m also a fully qualified Photography teacher. I completed my PGCE in Post-16 Education at the Institute of Education in 2014. Since then I have been teaching Photography at various Further Education colleges in London including the Mary Ward Centre, Westminster Adult Education Service, City and Islington College, Barking and Dagenham College and for NCS – The Challenge. I recently began teaching in schools through the Sir Hubert von Herkomer Arts Foundation, a registered charity offering a wide array of after-school classes in the arts.
I believe that teaching has made me a much better photographer because it has given me the communication skills to make people feel at ease when I take their picture. This helps me to get the best out of every photography shoot, whether its a corporate party with 500 guests or a one-to-one portrait session.
